Innovative community gate with cast bronze handprints

Location: Binham, Norfolk / King‘s Lynn, Norfolk, UK

This community gate built for a garden in King’s Lynn links old with young. To open the gate, residents place their hands in cast bronze handprints either of the previous residents, or of their long-grown-up children. The gate opens gently on a precisely balanced bearings.
